Guided Walking Tour of Modernist Valencia

València Trip Overview

In Valencia in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a great transformative process was experienced.
The great avenues that emerge in the wake of the demolition of the Christian walls of 1865 will be dotted with buildings in which modernism will coexist with Neomudéjar, Neomedieval, Neo-Byzantine or Neo-Baroque architectures, also incorporating decorative elements linked to local tradition: floral motifs, fruit, marine, or clothing and own iconography.
The greatest exponent will be the Regional Exhibition of 1909.
