This activity is recommended for people of all ages from 13 years old where they will experience sliding in the waves of Playa de Las Americas where you will live an unforgettable experience.
The activity lasts 2 hours and includes all the necessary equipment such as a surfboard, neoprene, booties and lycra where it will begin with a 20-minute theory where we will explain the basics of surfing, techniques to be able to enjoy our first waves.
The beach where we will surf is made of volcanic rock where the waves are perfect for beginners and advanced surfers.
Inside the sea you will always be guided by an experienced instructor and you must follow his instructions. At the end of the class you will stretch to prevent any injury and discuss how the experience has been.
He returned to school to change his equipment and shower in our facilities and then see our photographer’s photos.

- A minimum of 3 students is required for our group surf lessons to take place. If the minimum number of participants (3 students) is not reached, the class may be rescheduled, cancelled, or we will offer you the option to upgrade to a private class for an additional cost of €35. We’ll let you know as soon as possible and provide you with options to reschedule, upgrade to a private class, or receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made by students more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled class time will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. Cancellations made by students within 24 hours prior to the scheduled time are non-refundable.
- In case of adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may affect safety, Ocean Life Tenerife reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class. In such cases, a full refund or the option to reschedule will be provided.
- Time of arrival: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class time to register and prepare. If you arrive more than 20 minutes late, you will forfeit your reservation without refund.
- What to bring: We recommend bringing a swimsuit and a towel.
- Health and Fitness: Surfing can be physically demanding. Please make sure you are in good health and comfortable on the water.
- Security First: Your safety is our priority. Listen carefully to all safety instructions and follow your instructor’s guidance at all times.
- Parking: There is limited parking near the surf school. We recommend that you arrive with extra time to find parking, especially during peak seasons.
- Do not smoke or drink alcohol
