Welcome to Teide National Park, an impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great place for taking pictures! Teide National Park is located in Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. The park is home to Mount Teide, which is the highest peak in Spain and one of the most famous landmarks in the Canary Islands. The park covers an area of 18,990 hectares and boasts an otherworldly landscape with striking geological formations, lava flows, and volcanic craters. Visitors can take a cable car to the summit of Mount Teide for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, or explore the various hiking trails that wind through the park’s stunning scenery. The park is also home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including several endemic species that are unique to the Canary Islands. Overall, Teide National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in nature, geology, and outdoor adventure.

The Queen’s Shoe is a very beautiful place for a short stop. The whole area sourronding Teide is of an extraordinary beauty. The sun and shadows make it look different every time you take a picture of the places.

Garcia’s Roks .This is an amazing place with strange and beautiful rocks, lava stones and other surrealistic formations. Here you will enjoy fantastic views to the Mighty Teide and the entire valley.
This incredible rocks have peculiar shapes, due to erosions, and interesting geographic position, which is quite centre point of the Island !

The pumice banks at Minas de San Jose come from the Montaña Blanca volcano, located to the southeast of the Teide-Pico Viejo complex. Its eruptions, very violent at first, sent fragments of pumice stone flying to great altitudes. It was then deposited in the surrounding area or blown by the wind to other areas, depending on its weight.
In the middle of the 20th Century various open air mines were created to extract pumice stone which, due to its characteristics, has many applications like construction, cosmetics, dentistry and various chemical processes. In horticulture it is used in diverse crops, as well as in green houses, golf courses, gardens, etc.
These mines, however, had a heavy impact on the terrain. The legal reclassification of the National Park in 1981 led to a greater focus on conservation and the enormous public pressure forced the suspension of the mining activity and the restoration of the environment of the area, as well as that of Montaña Blanca.

The Volcano Museum

Welcome to Heaven! Definitely the best view in the Teide National Park. You are just above the clouds and it feels like in heaven! Breathing scenery, refreshing pine smells. Plenty of room in the car park. Amazing view on the Teide, La Palma and the Sea of clouds.

Candelaria is an important pilgrim site and many of its visitors come to the Basilica to the shrine of the Black Madonna, who is the patron saint of the Canary Islands. On the square in front of the Basilica on the edge of the sea, the Plaza de Patrona de Canarias, there are 9 colossal statues of Guanche (Aboriginal) chiefs along the sea wall.
The old town of Candelaria is pleasant and the main square has plenty of bars and nice shops. You can find some lovely wooden balconies typicals of Canarian architecture. There is also a nice promenade along the sea-front and a small harbour.
You can visit the Cave Chapel of San Blas, the Basilica (if is open), have a coffee or a snack.
Now is time to to drive back home happy with our incredible private tour on Tenerife!
