This thematic route also takes us to the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park, located in the province of Huelva, in the heart of Sierra Morena, will show us the cultures and traditions that have been developed in the pasture in the past.

The pasture, the forest originally formed by holm oaks and cork oaks is the space where human activities have been developed, and specifically in this area, the pig exploitation of the Iberian pig, one of the best recognized and world famous with its designation of origin in Iberian ham

Our route will begin at the place called Marimateos, where the source of the Odiel River is located at 660 meters altitude, 150 km away from the sea, where it will end at the confluence with the Rio Tinto. After a short trip of 3 kms through the forest of the pasture, we will be able to observe the impressive cork oaks that will catch our attention with their colors caused by the uncorking, and depending on the time of the year the light and the color that they give off.

Next we will visit the pig farm, where we will have the possibility to walk between pigs, feed them, or simply if we wish, observe how they live and grow up, then we will continue our visit to the factory to see the production and listen to the comments of our guide, from yesteryear to the present, at the end of the visit to the factory, we cannot finish without an exquisite tasting of the delicacies to which we have referred.
Finally, in Aracena we will have free time to enjoy a charming town, rich in heritage, where if time permits we can visit the Grotto of Wonders, considered as one of the most beautiful in Spain, which has the peculiarity of being the first tourist cave of our country, since it opened its doors to the public in 1914.
