The UNESCO-listed Alcázar of Seville, the medieval palace that doubles as the Water Gardens of Dorne, the residence of Dorne’s rulers, House Martell, in the series’ fifth season.
Built in the 10th century and later expanded by Spain’s Moorish rulers, the sumptuous palace boasts exquisite grounds of pools and fountains that proved the perfect doppelgänger for the Water Gardens. Hear how the site was turned into the home of the late Prince Oberyn Martell, who once ruled Dorne, the southernmost of the fictional Seven Kingdoms.
