This 2-Day trip to Doñana National Park will start from Seville in a 4×4 vehicle to Coria del Río a town by the bank of the river Guadalquivir just north of the entrance to the Doñana Natural Park Area. 

From there, you will go to the largest white stork colony in Europe located in the marshes, where you can also get to see some of the 300 different species of birds inhabiting Doñana.

You will get to see the most important rice field in Spain, which is also where the movie Isla Mínima was filmed.

These marshlands shelter over 200,000 birds making this wetland one of the most important on the continent.

During the summer, you may take your swimsuit and have a splash in the Atlantic Sea from one of the most pristine beaches in Europe.

Itinerary

Day 1: First day – Doñana National Park and El Rocio

Stop At: C. Trajano, 6, 41002 Sevilla, Spain
The guide will pick you up in the closest point to your accommodation (pick up points: Calle Trajano nº 6, Hotel Don Paco (Plaza Padre Jerónimo de Córdoba nº4), Calle Rastro, 12A) and you will start a 2 days trip to Doñana.
Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Parque Nacional de Donana, El Acebuche reception center, 11540 Sanlucar de Barrameda Spain
The first destination of this exciting route will be the environment of the wetlands in the northern area of the Doñana natural park. There we will enjoy a unique landscape where rice production and hundreds of birds join this wetland which is one of the most important in the European continent.

Stop At: Ermita de El Rocio, Aldea del Rocio, Almonte Spain
We will arrive at the northern zone of the Doñana National Park, whete you will discover the hermitage El Rocío, a unique village of typical marshy houses, with sandy streets where its inhabitants ride horses and where it seems that you can go back in time.

Stop At: Palacio del Acebron, Parque Nacional de Donana,, 21730 El Rocio Spain
Our next destination will be the Acebrón and Rocina palaces, where we will enjoy a circular path in which we will interpret the main singularities of a forest in gallery.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Parque Nacional de Donana, El Acebuche reception center, 11540 Sanlucar de Barrameda Spain
Our next destination will be the ecosystem of the beach. Doñana beach is, with more than 30 kms, the longest virgin beach in Spain. We will get to know the plant and animal species that live there.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ermita de El Rocio, Aldea del Rocio, Almonte Spain
We will return to El Rocío where you can enjoy some free time and settle into your incomparable rural accommodation to enjoy a good dinner in one of the village’s bars or restaurants.

Day 2: Second Day – Ecosystems of Doñana

Stop At: Parque Nacional de Donana, El Acebuche reception center, 11540 Sanlucar de Barrameda Spain
The next morning, after breakfast, we will make a stop at the Palacio del Acebuche, where for years the project for the conservation of the Iberian lynx, the most endangered feline on the planet, has been carried out and which is highly protected in Andalusia.

Stop At: Parque Nacional de Donana, El Acebuche reception center, 11540 Sanlucar de Barrameda Spain
We will take a tour of the most forested restricted area of the National Park, where we will have the opportunity to see some of the large mammals that live in Doñana. After the tour, we will have a delicious lunch and a last rest before starting the trip back to Seville.
