Ten miles away from the southern tip of Mallorca lies the archipelago of Cabrera, consisting of one mains island, Cabrera, six smaller islands and a dozen of rocky islands. Cabrera was declared a Maritime and Terrestrial National Park in 1991 and Areas of Special Protection of Mediterranean Importance (AEPIM). It is home to the best exponent of unaltered insular ecosystems of the Spanish Mediterranean. Important colonies of seabirds, endemic species and one of the best conserved sea beds in the whole country will fascinate you.
Cabrera is famous for its imposing fortified castle whose origins date back to the fourteenth century. The artistic historical monument is open to the public and offers a spectacular panorama of the landscape that surrounds us.

On the way back, we will make a stop at the impressive Blue Cave, naturally dug by the sea in a block of limestone rock. The orientation of the entrance to the northwest and the way the sun’s rays illuminate the cave in the mid-afternoon, make the water shine in a gradient that runs through the entire range of blues. A bath inside this cave makes it an unforgettable experience.
