Then we drive to the watchtower Atalaya de Albercutx in Formentor. On our way, we will see great views and a great landscape. The climax of the excursion will be when we get to the watchtower, where you can explore and take photos. As we venture through the Tramuntana Mountain Range towards the viewpoint you will experience some of the most glorious views of the Bay of Pollensa, and also ever so slightly the Bay of Alcudia!
When we reach the Colomer Viewpoint, you will be greeted by a monument of Antonio Parietti Coll, the engineer who designed both the road and this viewpoint. Located more than 200 metres above sea level, the viewpoint offers spectacular views of the Serra de Tramuntana and the Mediterranean, particularly at sunset!
After taking in the unbelievable views from the Colomer Viewpoint we will head up to the watchtower!
The watchtower of Albercuix, located 380 metres above sea level, forms part of the system of fortified and armed towers that were built on the island between the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century in response to the rise of piracy.
Now it´s time for you to enjoy a glass of cava and some fresh, local strawberries whilst the sun starts to set over the breathtaking Tramuntana Mountain Range!
