Plaza de la Marina is a plaza in the Centro district of the city of Malaga, Spain. It constitutes one of the nerve points of the city, since two important axes intersect here: the Alameda Principal and the Paseo del Parque with some of the busiest streets in the historic center, such as Calle Molina Lario, and with the main access to the Port from Malaga.

The Parque de Málaga or Parque de la Alameda, is a park located in the center of the Andalusian city of Malaga, Spain. The design corresponds to a Mediterranean garden with numerous tropical and subtropical species, which make it one of the most important public parks in Europe in terms of exotic flora.1 In this walk with gardens on both sides, of a Renaissance nature and baroque, there are botanical species from the five continents. It was carried out at the beginning of the 19th century on land reclaimed from the sea, for the expansion of the port in an expensive operation.

This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story.
It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress.
In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del Católico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city’s coat of arms.
