Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Malaga

Pass By: Malaga, Malaga, Costa del Sol, Province of Malaga, Andalucia
Upon landing at Malaga’s airport, head to the Arrivals hall where you will find a driver holding a sign with your name on it. You will be accompanied to the transfer to your hotel, where you can settle in before spending the rest of day at your leisure. Perhaps hit the streets and start exploring the many things one can do in this vibrant city, from visiting museums to enjoying a drink and tapas in one of its innumerable bars or enjoy the sun on one of the beaches. In the evening, you can ask your hotel reception for restaurant recommendations to discover Malaga’s highly renowned gastronomy before spending the first night in the hotel. Overnight in Malaga; Vincci Posada del Patio or similar.

Day 2: Guadalhorce – Malaga (20km – 1hr)

In the morning, after the breakfast, head to the meeting point located in the street Av. de Andalucía, 10, 29007 in the centrum of Malaga, right next to the building of Unicaja Bank, where we will meet your guide and start your tour. Once we have arrived at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga, our guide will explain you all about the history of the Natural Area of Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. The Gorge Desfiladero de los Gaitanes is a canyon, carved by the River Guadalhorce, placed in the center of the province. The northern access to it is via Guadalhorce reservoirs and the southern is via El Chorro. The construction of a water channel from the reservoirs in the north to El Chorro was carried out together with a path for maintaining the channel. This one is known as El Caminito del Rey (The King’s Little Pathway) because it was first opened by King Alfonso XIII. This path, about 3 kilometers long, has stretched of less than 1 meter wide and it is hanging about 100 meters high above the Guadalhorce River. It has just been refurbished, and it goes along vertical walls and a footbridge over the gorge on the same waterway. After this exciting hike which (approx. 2.30hrs) we will return back to Malaga, to the same spot where we began. The rest of the day you could enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere of this vibrant city. *Overnight in Malaga; Vincci Posada del Patio or similar. Breakfast included.

Day 3: Departure Malaga

Pass By: Malaga, Malaga, Costa del Sol, Province of Malaga, Andalucia
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and lately at 12pm checked out from the hotel to enjoy your last day in this magnificent city by going on a shopping spree or simply relaxing to the city and enjoying the last rays of sunshine. Then, at the indicated time, bid farewell and catch your transfer to the airport to continue to your following destination. Breakfast included.
