Itinerary

Day 1: MADRID (Sunday): Introductory Evening

Stop At: Madrid, Madrid
Arrival in Madrid international airport, transfer to your hotel. After check-in at your hotel, and resting a little, meet our assistant in the hotel lobby to start your gastronomic experience in Madrid
And what a better start in Madrid than with the perfect pairing! Receive a wine pairing masterclass given by an expert sommelier, while you enjoy a unique high cuisine menu, in an exclusive restaurant of the capital.

• Dinner: Food&Wine pairing masterclass:4-course meal, paired with first-class representative wines, in a fine-dining restaurant.

Accommodation included: Overnight at a 4-star hotel in the city center

Day 2: MADRID – RIBERA DEL DUERO – SEGOVIA (Tuesday)

Stop At: Aranda de Duero, Aranda de Duero, Province of Burgos, Castile and Leon
Breakfast. To start your second day of this unique gastronomic experience, be picked up by your local expert in the hotel lobby, to start your discovery journey into the Ribera del Duero area, located by the side of the Duero river, very well know for providing the best conditions for the wine growth. This is one of the most important winery areas in Europe, and the second most important in the country, after La Rioja
We will start this discovery journey in an avant-garde winery, where the latest discoveries in wine-growing will be disclosed for you by a local professional, while you taste some of their best products.
Afterward, we will depart to one of the hidden gems in Ribera del Duero, located at one of the highest peaks of the region with some of the oldest vineyards in the area. We will visit the vineyards and the winery, tasting the wines and enjoying a fantastic local lunch (the cook is a wonderful 65 years old lady who knows local gastronomy like nobody else). This will take us about 3 hours.
After this unique experience, we will head to the capital of the region, Aranda de Duero, to visit our last winery of the day: one of the oldest wineries in Spain with a “calado” structure (the original structure of wineries in Ribera). Explanation of its historical value and tasting. Approx duration: 1 hour.

Stop At: Acueduct of Segovia, Plaza del Azoguejo 1, 40001 Segovia Spain
Once we finish our wine tour in Ribera del Duero, we will be ready to start our return to Madrid; but first, we will do a compulsory stop, in the city of Segovia, World Heritage, and known for its Roman aqueduct, and its impressive Cathedral and Alcazar, one of the palaces that inspired the castle of Walt Disney.
After a walking tour at sunset, finding the Roman aqueduct at its best, we will make a gastronomic tapas route through the city, where you will try the delights of the Castillian cuisine.
Finally, we will return to Madrid.

• Lunch: 3-course traditional lunch in a winery in the capital of Ribera del Duero, accompanied by 3 different wines.
• Dinner: Tapas route in Segovia, to try the Castillian cuisine, in two casual establishments in the city, with explanations.
Accommodation included: Overnight at a 4-star hotel in the city center

Day 3: MADRID Gastronomic Day (Tuesday)

Stop At: Mercado, 28038 Madrid, Spain
Today you will discover the gastronomic delights of the Spanish cuisine: meet our local guide at the hotel lobby, who will take you into a inmersing experience into our gastronomy. First, you will visit a traditional “Abastos” market in Madrid. This visit includes a historical explanation of Madrid’s gastronomy, the importance of the city as a gastronomic spot and the tasting of different products (ibérico ham, manchego cheese, etc.). After this activity, join us in a private tasting of 5 different Spanish wines. These wines are carefully selected by professional sommeliers, who will explain what Spanish wine is and its diversity, which is currently at its best. Once the tasting is over, we will enjoy a tapas route through some of the best traditional places (informal “tascas”& restaurants). This route includes the visit to 5 different places in the city center and the idea is to show a wider perspective of the food & beverage offer in Madrid.
Duration: 6 hours

Meals included:
• Lunch: Visit 5 local bars to taste typical tapas. One drink included in each place and its corresponding tapa.
Accommodation included: Overnight at a 4-star hotel in the city center

Day 4: MADRID

Stop At: Madrid, Madrid
Breakfast. At the appointed time, be transferred to the airport to take the flight back home.
