Make the most of your Madrid adventure

What makes Explore the Monasterio de Piedra and discover Sigüenza. a unique experience ?

Departure from the O’Donnell Gate at 9:00 AM towards the Monasterio de Piedra.

Arrival at the Monasterio de Piedra Natural Park around 11:00 AM. Upon arrival, we’ll begin our adventure in the historic garden, surrounded by lush vegetation and a landscape filled with streams and lakes. This environment will bring us the calm and peace that can only be experienced when immersed in nature. Gradually, we’ll venture into the forest, where paths and trails will lead us to impressive waterfalls, caves, and grottos, opening our way through the Aragonese mountain range. As the trail is circular, with little incline and no more than 4 km in length, it will be of low physical demand. Halfway through, we’ll take a break to hydrate and enjoy a delicious snack.

Our experience will continue as we reach the imposing walls of the 13th-century Cistercian monastery. We’ll learn about the life of its monks, explore its cloister, and even discover their traditions and customs, full of history and mystery.

Lunch at a local restaurant featuring typical regional cuisine. Not included in the price of the experience.

We’ll stop in Sigüenza, the town where the Cistercian monks relocated, where its narrow streets and architecture will transport us to another time. Of course, we won’t leave without enjoying a delicious drink at its majestic castle.

Return to the O’Donnell Gate, at Retiro Park. Arrival between 19:00 and 20:00.
