Stop At: El Pino Gordo, Tf 21, 38613 Vilaflor, Tenerife Spain
Our first stop is the legendary Valaflor. The name of this village at the southern slope of the Teide comes from an old tale. In poetry, it is described how a man discovered a breath-taking flower. Here we have one more amazing attraction as “Pino Gordo”. “Pino Gordo” means Fat Pine and it is one of the biggest trees in Europe, it towers 45 meters above the ground. The Fat Pine is a Canarian pine tree dating from several centuries ago that bore witness to the formation of the Island’s most recent volcanoes.
