Day 1: ARRIVAL ALICANTE
Pass By: Alicante, Alicante, Costa Blanca, Province of Alicante, Valencian Country
Arrive to Alicante airport and pick up your hired car (head to the hall to meet with a OK-rent-a-car representative). Alicante is a city with history. Places of interest include the Gothic 14th century Basilica of Santa Maria, the Renaissance Cathedral of San Nicolas de Bari, built between the 15th and 17th centuries; and the Santa Faz monastery, in the Baroque style dating from the 15th century. Accommodation: Overnight in Alicante in 4* superior hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis (Bonalba hotel or similar).

Day 2: ALICANTE – CALPE (63km – 50 min)
Pass By: Calpe, Calpe, Costa Blanca, Province of Alicante, Valencian Country
Take to the road after breakfast at the hotel and visit Calpe. Don’t forget to take a picture next to the impressive Peñon de Ifach, a gigantic rock reaching 332 metres high, a symbol of the Costa Blanca. You can also visit the hermitage of El Salvador and Baños de la Reina. Also recommended is the cove of Racó del Corv and La Fosa beach. Accommodation : Overnight in Calpe in 4* hotel superior (AR Diamante or similar). Bed-and-breakfast basis.

Torrevieja is without a doubt another place to enjoy and discover wonderful coves and beaches. One of the most famous is Cala Ferris, offereing great views. Discover, too, other picturesque places such as the Sea and Salt Museum, where you will learn about the historical fishing tradition of the city or the Mata Tower, built in the 14th century. The Lagunas Natural Park, a protected area of about 3,700 hectares, has two lakes – the pink Torrevieja lake and the green La Mata lake. Accommodation: Overnight in Torrevieja in 4* hotel superior (Torrevieja Meridional or similar). Bed-and-breakfast basis.

Lorca, the ‘city of the sun’, is one of the most monumental stops in the region, showcasing medieval, Renaissance and baroque architecture. It has archaeological sites such as the Column Miliaria from the Roman times, numerous churches from the 13th and 14th centuries, as well as baroque palaces like the Guevara Palace. Stroll around the cobbled streets of Plaza de España and visit the castle of the city. Drive towards the airport Alicante to drop off the car and catch your departure flight back home. Return procedure and exact designated area will be adviced by rent a car company when you pick up the car on arrival day. The rent-a-car shuttle service will transfer you to the terminal for you to catch your departure flight back home.
