Dedicated to the Virgin of Los Milagros, patron saint of El Puerto de Santa María, La Basilica Menor nuestra Sra. de los Milagros church owes its name to the former priory of the Diocese of Seville.

As with the majority of the buildings in the area and the Seville Cathedral, the church is built with sandstone from the quarries of the Sierra de San Cristóbal mountains, which was used in many Portuensi buildings. Building has been documented since 1486.

San Marcos Castle is a 12th-century fortress, commissioned by Alfonso X “The Wise” upon the remains of a Moorish mosque on the banks of Guadalete River. Despite being so old (800 years), the castle is preserved in perfect conditions of use.
