Benahavís Trip Overview
This ride is a longer distance exploration of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park than our Sierra de las Nieves Mini. We ride from close to the coast up into the hills and reach higher peaks, with some more technical sections and singletrack to enjoy. It’s a great way to get away from the tourist hot-spots and escape the coastal crowds.
Our opening climb is steady and gains us some initial height and views. Then things become more interesting, as we follow the natural up-and-down contours of the mountains. We make a wide circuit of the forested hills, using a mix of wide tracks, with nice sections of singletrack to link everything together and make the most of the terrain. Having reached a peak height of nearly 700m, we enjoy a fantastic long 11km descent back down to the startpoint.
Note: Moderately technical sections throughout this ride, so you will need some mtb experience and reasonable fitness to cope with the hill-climbing from the start.

Itinerary
Mountain trails above Marbella.
Ride through the heart of the protected area of Natural Park above the Costa del Sol. Twisting mountain forest trails and views down to the coast. Trails are loose and rocky in places.
