This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Meet your host Maria at her small, quaint apartment in the lively neighborhood of El Poblenou, Barcelona. In your one-hour hands-on cooking class, you will help Maria prepare a tapa or dessert and a main dish. Maria will guide you step-by-step and can adopt different styles for first-time cooks. Learn to make a Moldavian specialty such as grilled aubergine with goat cheese or then a Spanish seafood paella. You could also either make a dessert such as a coconut tiramisu or a fun tapa such as bruschetta with sweet tomato salsa. After cooking together, you will join Maria at the table to share a meal you helped prepare.

Sample Menu

• Toasted Bruschetta with Sweet Tomato Salsa or Chicken Pate
• Spanish Peppers with Alioli or Seafood Paella or Grilled Aubergine with Cheese
• Coconut Tiramisu or Tres Leches Cake
