Why choose this Barcelona tour ?
Join us on a 2000 year magical journey through two of the most vibrant neighborhoods: Barceloneta, Gothic, and Born. Our passionate, knowledgeable guides will bring the history of Barcelona to life on your 3.5 hour tasting journey. During your tour, we will mix history with the traditions of the neighborhoods that we will be exploring with wonderful, authentic food like the legendary “Pa amb Tomàquet”, the famous Patatas Bravas, and much more! Accompanied by an assortment of locally made cheeses, cured meats, and yes, heavenly house-made sparkling wine and Cava, the classic Vermut and the refreshing “Clara”, a truly delicious drink! This tour experience is the best of both worlds, with incredible food and 2000 years of history, all rolled into one amazing Tour. Immerse yourself at the Medieval streets and alleyways of the Old Roman City of Barcino, nowadays Barcelona. Not to mention that you will also explore some fantastic hidden family-run restaurants, bodegas & taverns.
Make the most of your Barcelona adventure
What makes Sip, Sites & Bites Barcelona Food, Drinks & History Tour a unique experience ?
For your first tasting adventure, we will visit an authentic family-owned Catalan bar where you will be introduced to two truly traditional dishes and to make sure that you start things off on the right foot, you will have some of the best Cava you will ever experience!
While we walk into the heart of the medieval Born neighborhood and to continue with our foodie adventure we will stop at a 14th-century bodega (wine cellar). This wonderful bodega is always filled with locals living life to the fullest, so let us squeeze you in to sample some mouth-watering traditional tapas and of course some refreshing Clara!
Before we make our third stop we will head over the oldest part of the city, the Gothic Quarter, which boasts a labyrinth of winding narrow streets including some of the more interesting and beautiful plazas. Your expert guide will bring to life stories of these plazas including some secrets and legends.
To continue with our foodie tour we will stop at a family-run bodega where you will have two to three more tapas accompanied by the house sweet “Vermut” (the preferred apéritif for the locals).
A family-run Catalan tavern will be our last stop. At this point on your wine, food & history tour, we will have a fun surprise for you (trust me when I say you will enjoy it immensely). Hint: it involves wine and, of course, incredible food!
