Barcelona Trip Overview

You will experience being Gaudí for 8 hours. After a brief presentation of the technique of Antonio Gaudí, el Trencadís, you will learn how to handle the tools and how to create your mosaic artwork in Gaudis mosaic style:” el Trencadis”. You can decorate a mirror, trial or free design of a square (for example the Sagrada Familia). The bases of the decoration objects are wood. The “Gaudí Experience” will be an unforgettable, special and unique reminder of Gaudí’s Barcelona. The participants of this workshop will experience the Gaudi spirit in a relaxed atmosphere and will be tutored by one of our artesan masters.
You can do a break after 4 hours and come back and do the other 4 hours. You can take your mosaic artwork with you after you finished your artwork with grout.

Course Duration: 8 hours over one or two days.

Location: MOSAICCOS Corders Street 10, Barcelona (Destrict BORN, closed to Picasso Museo).

The Workshop starts at 10.00 a.m. 

First of all you choose your decoration object such as a mirror or a 25cm x 25 cm wooden object, table mat, or a salamander or  other.

 After a short introduction of the mosaic history and tecniques you learn how to use the tools. You start creating your first mosaic artwork guided by us. This is the complete A-to-Z  course including, cutting, postioning, glueing and grouting. At the end of the course you can take your artwork home.

I am Angelika Heinbach, a german mosaic artist and I specialize in the art of mosaic, also enhancing creativity and communication as well as promoting the cultural tradition of millennial mosaic art and the “Trencadis” technique. 

Carles Puigdemont i Casamajó, the president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, presented me with  my diploma “Mestre artesà divulgatiu” (Master craftsman`s certificate) at the Palau de la Generalitat in Barcelona.

How to find the shop:
•  By metro: Station Jaume I, Line 4
•  By Touristic Bus: “Barrio Gótico” stop
• By foot: Between “Mercat Santa Caterina” and “Museo Picasso”
• Please note that the name of the street changes several times without any obvious signs. Starting from Via Laietana, it is Carrer “Boria” then it becomes “ Plaza de la Llauna”, then Carrer “Corders”, which is where Mosaiccos is located, then the street turns into Carrer “Carders”
