Barcelona Trip Overview

This tour will give you a breaf introduction into the local history and Gaudí´s main works. On a confortable drive you will learn more about life and work of this visionary architect, with stops by Sagrada Familila, Batlló house and La Pedrera.
Montjuic Hill with 1992 Olympic Stadium, Joan Miró and National Art Museum is the perfect place for refresment stop with beautifull views over the city and the port.
To understand better the rich and complex past (and present) of Barcelona we will pass by Olympic Port and go for a walk in the Old town adjusted to your interests and mobility.
Founded by the Romans in 1st.c.BC Barcelona still embraces part of its origins inside the medieval buildings. In the middle Ages it was a walled city and leading port of the Mediterranean Sea trade. We will visit the Royal Palace, where Columbus was received by Spanish Kings in 1492 and stroll through the narrow streets of former jewish querter El Call.
If time allows we can add the visit to Park Güell.

Montjuic Hill offers magnificant views to the port and the City. It is home to Joan Miró museum, 1992 Olympic Stadium, Spanish Village and World Exhibition complex with National Palace, built in 1929. Monumental panoramic views from MNAC (National Catalan Museum of Art) and Mirador de Miramar will give you another beautiful perspective of Barcelona.

On a confortable panoramic drive through Eixample area you will learn more about the Catalan Trade tradition with former colonies, held by local burgeous Families. To show their power, many invested in beautiful Art Nouveau Palaces we can admire today. You will see many impressive houses, built by Gaudi and other arquitects during Industrial revolution aroung the end of XIX c. until the beginning of the First World War.

Master peace of Gaudi and symbol of the city, the Holy Family church defines Skyline of Barcelona with its colorful, organic forms built following the rules of the Nature and sacred geometry. This unique church, in constant transformation, will take your breath away. For inside visit previos booking confirmation required. Full inside visit takes around 1,5 hrs

Stop At: Casa Mila – La Pedrera, Passeig de Gracia, 92, 08008 Barcelona Spain

On top roof of La Pedrera (Milá House) we will see the astonishing set of architectural-sculptures resembling the Star Warriors, serving originally as ventilation towers and chimneys for the luxury family house. On optional inside visit you will pass through one of the original apartments and Gaudi museum where you can see all his works on display through models, photos and videos.

This is the walking part of the tour during which you will have a breaf introduction into the local history with stops on the main historical sites including the Roman remains, Gothic cathedral, Royal palace, Jewish quarter, Catalan parlament, La Rambla and much more

Until 1992 Olympic Games, Barcelona was turning its back to the sea. Once a dirty industrial area at the edge of the city was transformed dramatically, to give place to the Olympic Village, nowadays exclusive residential area and one of the most exciting leisure areas of the city.
You will find locals and visitors enjoying long sandy beaches of Barceloneta and Nova Icaria, simply strolling or riding bicycles by the sea, and tasting local specialties in countless seafood restaurants. Next to Sport Marina, housing more than 700 private yachts is another symbol of Barcelona: two skyscrapers (the luxury hotel Arts and Mapfre Tower) with spectacular goldfish sculpture by Frank Gehry. Olympic Port is also one of the most popular Nightlife destinations, including Gran Casino de Barcelona and many night clubs. We will make a short photo stop, or longer refreshment break, if time allows.

If time allows and with previos booking needed, we will continue to upper part of town to visit Park Güell, another magic place, where Nature and Art form unique Atmoshphere in which you easily feel transported into the world of Fairy Tales with Gingerbread houses and magic stone passages.
