The park, created in 1955, is a wild mountain region in the Pyrenees, with peaks rising 9000 feet above sea level and nearly 200 lakes, many of them of glacial origin. The park’s name in Spanish is Aigüestortes, freely translated as “the winding streams” due to how the rivers flow.
The park contains four major vegetation zones: lower mountain, upper mountain, subalpine and alpine. The fauna includes Pyrenean Chamois, Marmot, Ermine, Roe Deer. It also has numerous birds such as the Black Woodpecker, common Crossbill, Lammergeier and Golden Eagle.

Day 1: Transfer from Barcelona to the Pyrenees and Romanesque visit.

2 am. Arrival to Bohí’s valley, where you’ll find exceptional views of the Pyrenees. Moving through the alpine forest and wild nature will fill you with silence, blending with the environment, step by step. As you breathe deeply, you’ll feel like the inhabitants of this land, part of its creativity and art.

Stop At: Durro, Durro, Province of Lleida, Catalonia
2 pm. Depart to visit Bohí, Taüll, Arill and Durro’s villages. Their churches are the best expression of Romanesque architecture of the Middle Ages.

Day 2: Hiking in the National Park

9 am. Taxi from Bohi village until National Park entrance.

10 am. Hiking in Aiguestortes National Park. You will choose from various routes that create a very pleasant hike. It’s a very special, wild place with long alpine routes just an hour hike from the car. These experiences will create lasting memories.

9 am. Hiking in the National Park peripheral. It’s a very special hike, wild place with long alpine routes just round the lake.
