Introduction with your local gurú, walk to Alicante’s most enigmatic areas while learning its history.
Our first stop is a local place where you can try the typical Spanish “tapas” and a glass of wine or vermouth.
We will stop in a restaurant where you will learn about the alienation rice. You will try three different kinds of paellas and learn the secrets of the alienation cuisine.
1- Paella cantina: A paella which is made of saffron rice, red peppers, chicken, and shellfish.
2- Arroz a la Banda: A rice dish stewed in fish stock but then served separately from the seafood used to give it its distinctive taste.
3- Arroz Negro: A paella dish featuring seasoned squid cooked in its own ink.
Lastly, we will visit one of the oldest Horchaterías in Alicante to try the Spanish horchata, a sweet milk-type drink made from tiger nuts. This cold, refreshing beverage is typically served for merienda or a sweet snack after lunch. We will enjoy the typical Alicante turron while learning about its origins.
